ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, the intern will work with our design department in order to help us perform research and develop a new product line for Fortner. Tasks may include the following:
Design and market research
Facilitate discovery sessions
Identify market opportunities
Ideate furniture designs
Prototype furniture designs
Present research and designs to superiors
Sourcing
Maintain a schedule for project completion
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate or current student of Industrial Design undergrad program
PREFERRED SKILLS
Organizational skills
Knowledge of systems or design thinking principles
Interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Proficiency in Fusion 360, Sketchup, or Solidworks
Sketching skills
Research skills
Desire to learn

Part Time - 25hrs/Week
90 Day summer internship working to the applicant’s schedule
$13/hr
