The Pre-Pitch Party

Jenna Stout, from the ICC class of 2025, will be presenting her continued capstone project, the Fraction Lab, at Cedarville’s Pitch. The Fraction Lab is a beaker-inspired, hands-on math manipulative for grades 2–6 that helps students see and reason their fractions. Students build understanding of fraction equivalencies, addition and subtraction, simplifying fractions, and working with unlike denominators through interchangeable measuring walls modeled after real-world tools. Ideal for intervention, small groups, and grade-level classrooms, the Fraction Lab connects abstract concepts to everyday measurement and grows with students as their understanding deepens with additional walls and measuring discs. The Fraction Lab is the first tool from Bright Pond Designs, with the Graph Lab, Number Sense Lab, and Algebra Tiles coming soon.
What is the Pitch? Cedarville's version of shark tank showcases student entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas for a grand prize of $1,000. The Pitch will start at 6:30pm, but come early for the Pre-Pitch Party!
