Job Summary As a Clay Sculpting Intern you will play an integral role in the creative development process for future powersports vehicles. This internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative studio environment, where you will work alongside Design, Sculpting, and Engineering teams to bring innovative concepts to life.
Essential Duties
Work closely with designers, sculptors, and engineers to interpret concept sketches and translate them into full-size clay models that represent upcoming vehicle themes and design directions.
Utilize both traditional and emerging clay sculpting techniques to create sketch clay models as well as accurate, high-quality models that reflect design intent and meet engineering requirements.
Assist with general sculpting assignments, ensuring precision, consistency, and timely delivery of models for design reviews and development milestones.
Participate in design reviews, communicate progress effectively, and incorporate feedback to refine models.
Skills, Knowledge & Education
Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in one of the followings areas: Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, Sculpture or Ceramics.
Demonstrates basic clay modeling skills and creativity in a curated portfolio.
Understands essential design and sculpting principles, along with fundamental 3D form development.
Strong interest in vehicle and industrial design with a passion for craftsmanship.
Competent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Able to work onsite full-time, 40 hours per week.
Base Pay Range $19.50-$30.75
