Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative Industrial Designer with strong proficiency in 3D modeling to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing creative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing product designs across various categories. You’ll work closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to bring new ideas to life, ensuring products are not only visually appealing but also practical and manufacturable. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of design principles, materials, and production processes, with a proven ability to create user-centered designs that elevate the user experience. A portfolio showcasing a blend of conceptual sketches, 3D modeling, and final product designs is essential.
Responsibilities
Design and develop 3D models of industrial products using CAD software.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to ensure functional, feasible, and user-centered designs.
Translate product concepts, sketches, and briefs into high-fidelity CAD models that balance aesthetics, function, user experience, and manufacturability.
Perform design iterations and revisions based on feedback from internal teams, clients, or usability testing.
Coordinate or perform 3D scanning jobs as needed to complete projects.
Become proficient in SolidWorks surfacing and help complete projects as needed.*
Participate in design reviews and present models, renderings, and rationale behind design decisions.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience using Solidworks (preferred) or alternative CAD software
Good working knowledge of RV or Marine construction methods (preferred)
Good working knowledge of tooling design (both fiberglass and thermoforming)
* Alternate software may be acceptable
