Fields Auto Works is a growing specialty sportscar chassis enterprise in Plain City, Ohio. We sell and construct new sportscar chassis packages in addition to supporting customer on-track activity. Under the supervision of the CEO and the Senior Engineer, the Staff Designer will contribute to a wide range of design activities across engineering, manufacturing, and marketing. Specifically, this role includes ownership of our graphic design and overall design language, contributions to product design at both the concept and detailed production levels, and as-needed support of manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive design language across branding, products, and marketing
- Complete marketing and graphic design projects as given by CEO
- Complete assigned product design projects as given by Senior Engineer
- Support manufacturing operations design requirements as needed
- Represent the Fields Auto Works brand professionally and positively
Desired Skills
- Expert user in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Expert user in Adobe suite and similar design tools
- Expert user in MS Office and other similar tools
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Working knowledge of DFM and Lean Manufacturing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to draft technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with performance automotive or racing industries strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or similar field of study
- Must be able to work rapidly under pressure with minimal supervision
- Must be able to interface with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of small business concepts and terminology
- Must be eligible to work in the US

- Base salary range $45,000 minimum, maximum commensurate with experience
