2022 Senior Capstone Presentations

Each year seniors in the Industrial and Innovative Design major demonstrate an accumulation of acquired skills and creative problem solving abilities through a semester-long exploration and proposed design solution for a very wide scope of projects. From drones and architectural space designs to toys and medical devices, ICC seniors share their concepts, research, design development and refined proposals live and in front of instructors, industry professionals, colleagues, family and friends.

Sustainability and modern sleek design is tough to find in the sportfishing boat market, This project aims to tackle that problem with a 27 foot electric catamaran fishing boat

Over 19 million people struggle with hoarding disorder. Hoarding can lead to stress, poor decision making skills, disable people to organize and take control over their life and how they live. My project aims to help the victims to hoarding disorder to make peace with their past, take control of their items and restore relationships between family members and friends.

For a long time we have controlled light by using switches, remotes, and physical interactions. These lighting devices will respond to the users through basic gesture commands.

Learning how to walk again is a difficult task but not impossible. Shoes play a role in helping users regain their confidence and feel comfortable. This project aims to help amputees put on and take off their shoes with ease and prevent them from bending too much.

Loquet: including moms and babies with latching issues in the full experience of breastfeeding

There is a misconception that breastfeeding is easy and comes naturally to all mothers and babies. The reality is that many factors prevent women from this experience and discourage them as new moms. My product gives the opportunity to breastfeed back to these mothers who's babies can’t latch and create suction while also empowering them to feel capable, prepared, and supported as they care for their little one.
