Choosing an Apartment
The ICC is located in a highly residential area of northwest Columbus, Ohio, called Powell. It combines a “country” setting with easy access to shopping, restaurants, freeways, churches, parks and more. Students are classified by the university as “off campus” students during their junior and senior years and commute daily to the ICC studios from a choice of literally thousands of apartment units within a few miles of the ICC.
Typically apartment management, depending on the property, allows two students “per bedroom” providing an affordable situation for splitting rent. Students report paying around $300 per month plus their share of utilities to live near the studio. The ICC highly recommends that the students live south, southwest or west of the studio for traffic purposes and that strong preference is made for apartments within five miles.
Below you will find a list of some of the apartments that our students have had good experiences with in the past. It should be noted that the ICC does not officially partner with any apartment complex.
