Shortly after graduating from the ICC in 2015, I began freelancing full-time with the Design & Brand team at WD Partners in Columbus, OH. WD was a great launchpad for my career in architectural design, allowing me to quickly learn design processes, techniques, & practices unique to the architectural field. After freelancing for a period of time at WD, I took an opportunity as an Environments Designer, focusing on design innovative customer experiences that build a brand into a space. WD provided me with the experience of working alongside a variety of global brands including Mars-Wrigley, Intel, Zensho, and more.
After spending a couple years at WD Partners, I am now the Designer for Musser Home Builders, Inc., a custom builder in South Central PA building on high-performance and finely built custom homes, large-scale remodels, & additions. The home building industry is a rewarding industry to be apart of on multiple accounts. It is an incredibly personal field to be a designer in with the opportunity to build deep relationships with clients. Often, I am privileged with being tasked to create someone’s dream home, one that they may have been dreaming of for years! Within the industry, though, there is an ever-increasing need for younger talent to come in and fill jobs. Being a young designer that is able to push innovative designs and processes into a field that is lacking of creativity and integrity in building has opened up many opportunities. Outside of work, I married my wife Chelsea shortly after graduating college, with whom we are expecting a beautiful, baby girl named Mia at the end of November. Life is good and much of where I am today can be attributed to my experience & relationships built while at the ICC.
